Pastor Kevin Bordeaux grew up in a very small town called, Turkey, NC. He gave his life to Christ at 19 years old in 1999 after battling with drugs and alcohol. He was radically converted and delivered at 20 years old. Pastor Kevin did not start off in the traditional church ministry setting. From 1999-2003 he played in a Christian band. He wrote songs, played and managed the band for 4 years. They recorded 3 albums and toured for 3 of the 4 years. In 2003 he felt the call to enter church ministry as a pastor.
He attended Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries with a focus in New Testament Greek in 2007. He earned his Master of Ministry in Christian Leadership from Southwestern Christian University in 2009. Kevin earned his Doctorate of Philosophy in Theology from Covenant Bible College and Seminary in 2011. Pastor Kevin came to Thrive Church in 2012. It was a church that was dying and was called, "Courts of Praise." He met with 22 people, most of which were Senior Citizens, to share the idea of launching a brand new church. They officially launched in Chesterfield in 2012. They launched another campus in the city of Richmond in 2014. There were around 25 people who also had a church that was dying fast. They became Thrive Church Richmond City Campus.
Pastor Kevin considers his greatest ministry the one of being a father and husband. Him and his wife Caroline have 2 boys; Dawson and Brooks. Kevin and Caroline enjoy hiking together as well as finding cool spots to eat at in the city of Richmond.
Pastor Kevin serves in church consultation for churches across the USA for growth and health, is a church planting coach and is a freelance writer for Christian Ministry websites.
